Initial Assessment
The initial assessment of every manuscript for publication by Universal Books is free. However, every manuscript must be preceded by an abstract of not more than 250 words. Abstracts exceeding this length and manuscripts not accompanied by an abstract will not be considered.
If your manuscript is deemed publishable by Universal Books UK, we will advise you of the stages towards publication and offer you a publishing contract with full details of your obligations and the obligations of Universal Books UK in big print.
Acknowledgement
Manuscripts will only be accepted online. Please do not post your manuscripts to Universal Books UK. Manuscripts received by post will not be considered and there shall not be any acknowledgement.
Also, manuscripts that are deemed not publishable by Universal Books UK will not receive any further acknowledgement after the automatic response from our website on the successful submission of the manuscript. Therefore, if you have not heard further from us after three months of submitting your manuscript, it is highly probable that your manuscript is deemed not publishable by Universal Books UK.
We will be pleased to give our confidential editorial assessment of every manuscript correctly submitted, subject to payment of a small assessment fee.
